if you stay in Torry you have to support the people their to see if they can get grants, I have visited Torry and the people I met are very passionate about their area and want to do a lot for the people of Torry but they need support. It is a lovely place but needs community facilities

I agree with ghaswatch there is a lack of community input. there is a community group starting p Tenants and Residents Partisipation ,it is a goverment act that the community must be allowed to have a greater input what happens in their community, that means from getting the dog pooh up , to how they run the council everything that happens basically in Torry. There is a meeting in Tullos Community Centre on Wednesday the 26th Of Novenber. please come it is your community it is you that can make it happen.

I hope they get a big turn out at the meeting THIS IS FOR THE BETTERMENT OF YOUR COMMUNITY GET ALONG AND SUPPORT THEM THE MORE VOICES THE LOUDER YOU WILL BE HEARD, IF YOU DONT GO DONT MOAN ABOUT NOT GETTING ANYTHING DONE IN TORRY

I'd love to attend this meeting but I'm rehearsing for Aladdin (see Events Calender.....plug, plug!) that night. Is this going to be a monthly meet?

I would suggest that you set up as a Registered Tenants Organisation (RTO) to get funding, not as a participation group

Yes there is money in torry .The URC have it that stands for Urban Regeneration Company David Fryer is now the managerfor the regeneration Irene Cormach is chair and the rest are are on it . No there is not a creche but if you want you can bring your child or children with you. I had to when mine were young. If you cannot manage a night time one ,for what ever reason get a few folk and we can have a day one . Remember this is for you and other residents and tenants so come along. thanks gaswatch for your comments.
