2. Minute of Previous Meeting
i) Police had got back in touch with Kate re high energy drinks. She had given them name of shops Oscar Road and George’s but didn’t know what drink was called. No-one was very sure, there were various brands.

3. Outdoor Toilets
This issue will be spoken about on Thursday at the Community Council. Previously been told that there is money ring fenced to put in Portaloo where they were previously located? Pensioners Play Park? Across from Grampian Bar? Other issues lack of buckets in parks e.g. Pensioners Play Park.

4. Meeting re Conversions
2nd meeting had happened, the option of shower cubicles won’t be reinstated. Some people at the meeting felt that shower cubicles never should have been an option in family housing as they were not appropriate for very young children.

The issue of how not physically able people can clear the rooms was raised, if asked the council will empty the rooms. Well done June for organising the meetings.

5. Tullos Swimming Pool
Disgust was expressed at the fact that local councillors had agreed to put the issue of budget for the repair back to Education, Culture and Sport Committee, learning shouldn’t have to suffer because the repair hasn’t been managed properly by the Council. How has it come to be such a huge amount? Why was it left to deteriorate for so long? Kate was asked to draft a letter on meetings behalf to express concern. Letter to be sent to Annette Bruton Councillors, Kiddie, Donnelly, Cormack and Allan and Anne Begg MP.

What happens next role of Sports Trust?

6. Report Back from Torry Learning Partnership Meeting
Kate circulated the papers and June and Andy who had attended reported back.
4 learning issues to be looked at during the year.
1. Integrating Different Cultural Communities.
2. Improve Community Communications and build Community Capacity.
3. Improve Learning Outcomes for Under Achievers.
4. Improve Health of the Community (tackling Health inequalities)

Issue 2 was something Community Learning was already looking at putting on a big day where local groups and agencies working in Torry could present what they do to the wider community of Torry. Kate would be looking for a small group of local people to work with her to put the day together.

7. Room 18
School is wanting it to accommodate a Primary 7 class. Smaller classes for Primary 1s means there is not enough classrooms. Have had some discussions about getting dividers for coffee bar and creating a craft workshop between the Centre and School and using adjoining corridor for storage. Not ideal but seemed one way of accommodating groups presently using Room 18.

8. Play Forum
Kate circulated information they are keen to speak to local groups about open play areas. Invite them to a future meeting.

9. Chronic Pain
Kate circulated information Irene Cormack had sent re Chronic Pain several people said they were interested.

10. Oor Torry
Kate and Nick circulated information. Nick and Andy then gave more information about what they were involved in. Activity workshops during summer at Torry Youth Café. All activity finishes off with Aberdeen International Youth Festival Parade on Saturday 31st July 11.00am-12.00noon.
